“I want my work to represent more than to repeat what I see. My work has to reach above that; It has to create images that become symbols for meaning and are therefore provocative. The work is either serious or whimsical. I work in acrylic, prisma color, pen and ink,collage, photography, mixed media, balsa, plexiglass and stainless steel.” -Helen Betz
